Anna Delvey is about to make a splash on social media.
The socialite con-artist—whose 2017 arrest for defrauding major financial institutions, banks, hotels and acquaintances was the subject of Netflix's Inventing Anna—is returning to social media on Aug. 17 for the first time since her 2022 prison release.
As for why? Delvey (a.k.a. Anna Sorokin) is gearing up to binge USA's new cutthroat reality competition series The Anonymous.
"I hear you say there's a new showed called The Anonymous that's all about deception," the 33-year-old, who remains under house arrest, says in E! News' exclusive sneak peek while flaunting her court-ordered ankle monitoring device. "I might know a thing or two about deception."
As for Delvey's advice for the 12 contestants who will be scheming and backstabbing in an attempt to win up to $100,000?
"Never be afraid to dress up your look—or the truth," she adds in the teaser. "Trust me, I'd never lie to you."
Delvey's words of wisdom could definitely come in handy for the competitors. After all, the show is a strategic competition set in two worlds: The real world and the anonymous one.
"Despite their close quarters, all players will have their own private underground hideouts where each is completely anonymous and can say anything and everything behind the mask of a unique handle," USA's description notes. "In their hideouts, players can provide raw, unfiltered takes on their fellow contestants. They will scheme, connive and deceive to build influence and advance their game.
"The question is: Can they stay anonymous while doing so, or will the other players guess their identity?"
The Anonymous premieres with the first three episodes Monday, Aug. 19, at 11 p.m. on USA.
And don't miss Delvey's return to social media tomorrow, Aug. 17, when she'll start sharing her expertise on what it takes to triumph when surrounded by a den of liars and deceivers.
